Dr. Gary Liu is an experienced psychiatrist committed to guiding patients through their most difficult emotional struggles. His training includes dual doctorate degrees in medicine and neuroscience from Baylor College of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. As a McNair Scholar, his neuroscience research led to numerous peer-reviewed publications, including his thesis in Nature Communications [link to press release]. He  then completed a research track psychiatry residency at the University of Pennsylvania, where Dr. Liu continued research as a physician scientist in the fields of psychiatry, neuroscience, and developmental biology [link to research profile].

Clinically, Dr. Liu has spent years treating complex mood, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders. His approach is to combine cutting edge, evidence-based treatments like Ketamine IV Therapy with individualized treatment plans that fit each patient’s unique goals.
